Fleet Manager

Overview The AAA Dayton Fleet is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead Roadside Assistance Club Fleet Operations, ensuring exceptional member satisfaction while maximizing safe and efficient utilization of associates and resources 24/7. Responsibilities Deliver the best member satisfaction performance metrics at a competitive cost. Evaluate regional trends and define strategies to integrate solutions that positively influence enterprise performance. Ensure safe and efficient utilization of staff and resources 24/7, including holidays and during weather events and emergencies. Manage 1-3 supervisors, up to 60 frontline staff, and club‑owned vehicles. Make independent decisions and implement strategies to improve fleet performance. Balance exceptional service delivery with operational cost control. Lead personnel functions: recruitment, retention, development, coaching, training, motivation, evaluation, communication, and performance management. Develop and analyze annual budgets and technical reports for the department. Oversee accounts payable/receivable in line with company guidelines. Act as emergency personnel on a 24/7 on‑call basis and respond beyond normal business hours as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 5-7 years in a high‑volume customer service environment. 2-4 years of managerial experience or equivalent skill. Completion of a nationally recognized towing certification program (IITR or TRAA light/medium duty courses) within one year of appointment. Completion of nationally recognized certified Roadside Problem Solving Technician training within one year of appointment. Completion of nationally recognized certified Battery Technician Course within one year of appointment. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; ability to operate passenger vehicles and light/medium‑duty trucks. Advanced knowledge of automotive computer equipment, mobile technology, telecommunications, and related software. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $65,902 to $96,005.80 (range reflects experience and location). Other compensation includes: Paid Time Off: up to 3 weeks in the first year. 8 paid holidays. 401(k) plan with company match up to 7%. Health, Life, Dental, and Vision insurance.
