Veterinary Assistant – Banfield Pet Hospital Join Banfield’s veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant, where you’ll work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safe, high‑quality care for pets and a comfortable experience for clients. Responsibilities Maintain the flow of patients in the hospital setting. Communicate with the veterinarian and vet technicians throughout patient care. Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or v‑tech assistance. Adhere to hospital standards that keep pets safe and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized. Educate clients about the Optimum Wellness Plans® and the importance of preventive care. Mentor other members of the hospital team as needed. Qualifications Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to perform all required skills of a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program at a level that supports practice efficiency.
