Job Title: TIG welder OR MIG welder

TIG Welder - $35- $37 per hour.

Mig Welder - $22-$25 per hour.

Job Description

This role involves performing high-quality TIG or MIG welding on heavy industrial components. You will independently lay out, fit, and weld projects from start to finish with minimal instruction, ensuring precision, cleanliness, and adherence to stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform Tig Welding or MIG welding based on skill set.
• Lay out, fit, and weld projects independently, interpreting drawings or instructions as needed without close supervision.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in welding
• Ability to independently lay out, fit, and weld projects without detailed instruction.

Work Environment

This position is based in a non–temperature-controlled manufacturing facility, where you will work around fabrication and welding equipment and handle metal materials. The standard schedule runs from 6am - 4pm and 6pm - 4am, with overtime available and expected as needed, up to approximately 50 hours per week. The role requires wearing steel-toe shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safety on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Chattanooga,TN.
