Software Engineer, Geospatial Platform (Terra)

Responsibilities

• Build data ingestion pipelines for large geospatial datasets.
• Create platforms that provide users with access to geospatial data.
• Develop edge software for high-performance offline geospatial data access.
• Collaborate with Lattice service teams and Anduril business lines to design reusable software solutions.
• Build platform and infrastructure tooling that helps software engineers scale their output.
• Design and iterate on complex software systems through technical design reviews.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience working with programming languages such as Go, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Rust.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, software infrastructure fundamentals, networking, security, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with customers to deliver novel software capabilities.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Preferred experience building scalable backend systems with varied data storage and processing requirements.
• Preferred experience with software development lifecycle tools, version control, and CICD systems.
• Preferred experience with robot or autonomous vehicle testing frameworks in software-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Preferred experience with Crossplane, Terraform, monitoring, logging, data management tools, and complex system design.
• Ability to understand complex systems and established codebases quickly and work with autonomy.
