Senior Quality Engineer

Senior Quality Engineer – Louisville, Kentucky – DOD-Aerospace – 6‑month contract – Up to $57/hr (W2, non‑benefited) – US Citizen required Responsibilities Support manufacturing and engineering actions and tiered management systems. Lead defect identification and resolution, analyze trends, and manage corrective actions across cross‑functional teams. Required Skills Analyze quality metrics and trends to provide data‑driven insights for continuous improvement. Identify and resolve product and process defects through robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), including countermeasure sheets and 5‑Whys. Interact and communicate with operators to confirm and reinforce quality requirements. Facilitate and participate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure accuracy and reliability. Perform and support containment activities in response to quality issues. Conduct and support internal process audits. Manage work packages and support Corrective Action Requests (CARs). Respond to Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities. Review technical documents and contractual quality requirements. Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) skills to ensure design integrity. Detect and help define counterfeit part controls. Support and maintain Basis of Estimate (BOE) development for scope planning. Drive ROI‑focused initiatives and continuous quality improvements. Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field. 10+ years of work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5 years in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
