A well-established multifamily owner-operator is seeking a hands-on Lease Administration/Resident Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day management, administration, and compliance for two rent-stabilized, doorman buildings in south Brooklyn. This role will work closely with the owner/manager and a fellow accounting professional, taking ownership of tenant relations, regulatory filings, lease administration and renewals, and on-site office operations within a small, collaborative environment.

This role is onsite Monday–Friday with quality-of-life hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily operations for two rent-stabilized, doorman properties; serve as primary tenant-facing contact for escalations, communications, move-ins/move-outs, and house rules.
• Lead DHCR compliance and rent stabilization workflows: annual registrations, lease/renewal processing, RGB guideline implementation, legal/preferential rent tracking, and documentation.
• Manage Local Law 11 and Local Law 87 cycles: maintain compliance calendars, coordinate engineers/consultants, track milestones, and support filings and close-outs.
• Own AppFolio records and workflows: leases, ledgers, work orders, document storage, and operational reporting for ownership.
• Partner with the peer AP/AR bookkeeper to review invoices, support vendor management, and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with building operations and doorman staff leadership to ensure service standards, amenity readiness, and effective resident communication.
• Prepare periodic operational updates and reports for ownership; flag risks, propose solutions, and drive follow-through to resolution.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years in NYC residential property management with direct responsibility for rent-stabilized buildings.
• Strong working knowledge of DHCR rules/regulations, registrations, and RGB guidelines; adept at lease/renewal documentation and legal/preferential rent tracking.
• Hands-on experience coordinating Local Law 11 (FISP) and Local Law 87 (energy audit/retro-commissioning) cycles and vendors/consultants.
• Proficiency with AppFolio property management software.
• Excellent tenant relations and communication skills; calm, professional, and solutions-oriented.
• Comfortable operating in a small, high-autonomy office environment with broad responsibilities.

Salary: $95K – $115k + a strong benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
