Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's sanctions compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant with applicable sanctions laws and guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on sanctions compliance requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and risk management, to address compliance-related issues.
• Oversee sanctions screening processes to identify and address potential matches and risks.
• Prepare and submit reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Lead investigations and recommend corrective actions in response to potential sanctions violations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP, Compliance Sanctions should have:

• A strong background in sanctions compliance within the financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including OFAC and international sanctions regimes.
• Proven ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and training skills to educate teams on compliance matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for handling complex compliance issues.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a professional setting.
