Director, IT Procurement Solutions

Gilead seeks a Director to lead global procurement systems and transformation initiatives. This role oversees Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay platforms on SAP, Ariba, and related systems, requiring strategic leadership, vendor coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. The position is based in Foster City, California with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

Lead global delivery and roadmap execution for Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay platforms
Own system stability, performance, and enhancements across SAP S4, Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, and ORO
Manage global team responsible for procurement support, escalations, and transformation initiatives
Establish governance frameworks, operating models, and KPIs for global procurement delivery
Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain leaders to translate business needs into IT solutions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, or related field
12+ years relevant experience with advanced degree, or 15+ years with bachelor's degree
Deep expertise in Ariba, Concur, and other SAP applications
5+ years leading global SAP or ERP teams and large-scale support organizations
Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and global ERP delivery programs
Strong understanding of global finance processes, financial controls, and integrated ecosystems
Experience managing complex integrations across SAP and non-SAP enterprise platforms
