Gallery Assistant

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only NDSU students are eligible to be hired in this position. Unsolicited applications to this posting will NOT be considered.

Description, Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the daily operation and programs of the Memorial Union Gallery
• Assist with the installation, programming and striking of exhibitions (weekend work necessary)
• Assist with the care and maintenance of the NDSU art collection
• Work Safely
• Provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team environment
• Actively participate in Memorial Union Student Employee Development

Requirements & Competencies:

• Must be a full-time NDSU student and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Positive attitude
• Strong oral & written communication skills
• High degree of initiative and the ability to carry out tasks to completion in a multi-tasking environment
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Work safely
• Attend student employee trainings and all University required trainings
• Pass a required background check

Preferred: Interest and proven record of participating and promoting the arts is desired

• NDSU Memorial Union Gallery

Hours & Schedule:

• Part-time, 10-15 hours/week, schedule TBD
