Position Overview Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, dependable, and safety-conscious Medium Voltage Field Service Technician to join our team.

- Must Have: Infrared training and explicit medium voltage transformer experience.
- Compliance: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check, driving record check, and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing. Candidates will be subject to random drug testing throughout employment.
- Transformer Service: Primary responsibility is to perform inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of medium voltage transformers (both oil-filled and dry type) and all related equipment.
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct medium voltage switchgear testing, as well as testing and inspecting low and medium voltage cable installations.
- Infrared Testing: Execute routine and specialized infrared inspections.
- Project & Client Management: Manage on-site projects with good judgment, complete accurate on-site job reports, and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with co-workers and customers.
- Schedule Flexibility: Normal workday hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. However, you must be flexible to handle emergency responses on a rotation schedule whenever a client experiences an outage.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct or similar experience in oil testing, infrared scanning, and performing start-ups on medium voltage equipment.
- Industry Standards: Strong working knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
- Technical Aptitude: A strong theoretical understanding of electricity, entry-level computer skills, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Safety First: Absolute commitment to adhering to all electrical safety procedures and working safely in high-risk environments.
- Variable Outdoor Elements: Ability to work in shifting outdoor environments, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, rain, snow, fog, and freezing temperatures.
- High-Voltage Hazards: Comfortable performing energized electrical work on equipment operating at greater than 600 volts (extremely hazardous with a risk of electrocution), strictly requiring specialized safety precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds daily, lift/guide heavy sections of materials, crawl, climb, stand for long periods, and comfortably move about while wearing heavy PPE in non-ideal locations.
- Salary: Competitive pay based on individual work experience. Up to $32/hr eligible for overtime pay
