Gentle Health Balance Counseling is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is vital in supporting clients’ mental health journeys through meaningful therapy and intervention approaches. As a counselor, you will engage with patients to diagnose their conditions and create personalized treatment plans to guide them toward improved mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' mental health status using evidence-based practices. \n
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client. \n
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing culturally responsive techniques tailored to diverse populations. \n
- Regularly monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, providing ongoing support and motivation. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive care, including referrals when required. \n
- Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating strong skills in managing challenging situations effectively. \n
- Document all interactions with clients in accordance with ethical standards and organizational policies. \n
- Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and share insights on client care. \n
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Our patients come from various backgrounds, enhancing your understanding of cultural competence in providing therapy. You will be responsible for creating a supportive atmosphere where clients feel safe to express themselves and address their challenges.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia. \n
- A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working with diverse client populations. \n
- Deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities. \n
- Proven ability to create therapeutic relationships and maintain professionalism with clients and colleagues. \n
- Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and effective coping techniques. \n
- Proficient in utilizing EHR systems and computer applications to manage client documentation and communications. \n
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, including confidentiality and professional boundaries. \n

- Previous experience delivering telehealth services is a plus. \n
- Demonstrated expertise in group therapy facilitation and multicultural counseling approaches. \n
- Familiarity with therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). \n
The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual compensation of $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a lucrative salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
