About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – North Carolina

Start Date: ASAP

Location: North Carolina

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required and holiday coverage. Option to flex to 4x12 shifts when needed or available. Overtime billed after 48 hours.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced emergency department with approximately 160 visits per day
• Manageable 4:1 patient ratios on all shifts
• Combined adult/pediatric patient population with diverse case mix including CVA, trauma stabilization, dysrhythmia management, and critical care
• Meditech EMR system (experience preferred but not required)
• Strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Local candidates welcome; first-time travelers considered with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or in process with clear ETA)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 3+ years preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all must be AHA-approved)
• CPI/CIC certification preferred (can be obtained on-site for assignments longer than 3 months)
• Proficiency in blood product administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, and isolation precautions
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
