As a Shift Lead, you are a proactive problem solver and a dependable leader who thrives on efficiency and responsibility. You’ll step in seamlessly to manage shifts, oversee operations, and ensure the cafe runs efficiently, no matter the challenge. From handling inventory and deliveries to refining schedules and supporting team dynamics, you’ll be trusted to take initiative and make impactful decisions. Your focus extends beyond daily tasks—you'll inspire your team, cultivate a positive and efficient work environment, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with Cafe Managers, you’ll gain invaluable leadership and operational experience, setting the stage for your growth into future leadership roles.

Your primary objective as a Shift Lead is to assist Managers in the day-to-day operations and overall cafe management. This role is your gateway to growing into an Assistant Cafe Manager position, offering you the chance to enhance your leadership abilities, master active listening, and immerse yourself in our dynamic and collaborative culture. Duties/Responsibilities

• Learn and be mentored on the basic care and troubleshooting of coffee equipment. 
• Make personal and team growth a top priority in a dynamic, enjoyable work environment.
• Support seamless CAFE operations by fostering teamwork among baristas during your shift.
• Assist in coordinating Cafe needs and organizing supplies, or inventory.
• Support Managers in daily operations and team management.
• Supports maintaining proper tracking of waste management protocols
• You will work closely with the Assistant Cafe Manager or Cafe Manager, who will mentor you while serving as a vital communication bridge between them and team members.
• Ensures all cafes (inside and out) are clean and tidy.
• Support compliance with food and beverage policies as directed by the local health department.

• Availability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week. 
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Working as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress is a plus.
• Training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Hourly Rate
