Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7PM–7AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed cardiovascular telemetry unit with a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret EKGs using centralized telemetry; must be proficient in dysrhythmia recognition
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, and Dobutamine (titrating down only)
• Care for post-cath lab, post-vascular procedure, and day-2 CABG patients, as well as general telemetry patients (ages 15 and older)
• Demonstrate and maintain proper sterile field technique ; a pass/fail sterile field exam is administered on day one of orientation
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum of 2 full years of telemetry or cardiovascular nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer (maximum of 2 attempts)
• Must pass a pass/fail sterile field competency exam on day one of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-cath lab and post-surgical cardiac patients (e.g., CABG, vascular procedures)
• Proficiency with cardiac drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiovascular or telemetry setting
