Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to inform treatment plans for clients.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities—including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to treat mood disorders effectively.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients requiring psychopharmacological interventions.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • \n
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach initiatives to enhance service delivery and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse array of clients, including individuals dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Supporting children, adolescents, and adults, you will tailor your approach to resonate with their unique experiences, cultures, and backgrounds. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be paramount in fostering positive therapeutic relationships and helping clients achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Active and unrestricted licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

  • Strong knowledge and application of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood and behavior disorders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and consultation with clients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in delivering outpatient therapy, preferably in a community health setting.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing therapeutic interventions and achieving positive client outcomes.

  • Experience in community outreach efforts and public speaking to promote mental health awareness will be an advantage.
