About The Role We are building a generational brand with World – one of the leading projects in the age of AI. We’re not just aiming to join the ranks of iconic tech companies; we’re building something the world hasn’t seen before. That’s why we’re looking for someone who not only brings deep experience but is excited to help invent a new kind of design practice, without a blueprint. Someone ready to shape what a brand like this can become. We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who can craft intuitive, high‑quality digital experiences across our ecosystem, with a primary focus on web (90%) and product design (10%). You’ll operate at the intersection of brand, marketing and digital, combining systems thinking, interaction design and exceptional visual craft to create everything from high‑traffic websites to bespoke digital and product experiences. As AI becomes a core part of our design practice, we’re looking for someone who sees it not as a feature, but as a creative and production partner—using it to dramatically accelerate ideation, exploration, iteration, prototyping and execution while maintaining an uncompromising standard of quality. You’re excited to help define what an AI‑native design practice looks like, where human judgement and craft are amplified by emerging tools to produce better work, faster. You are a strong communicator and collaborator who can translate complex ideas into elegant, user‑centred experiences. You care deeply about craft and hold a high bar for quality, while also bringing an “afterburner on” mindset—moving fast, iterating quickly and doing whatever it takes to get great experiences live. This role reports to the Head of Brand Design and collaborates frequently with the Global Web Content Lead. Based in San Francisco, in‑office minimum 4 days per week. What You’ll Do Design and evolve multiple high‑traffic websites across the World, World Foundation and Tools for Humanity brands—designing website UI/UX and interaction design end‑to‑end. Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high‑fidelity designs that deliver clear, intuitive and engaging web experiences. Collaborate closely with marketing, content and brand teams to translate messaging into effective user journeys and digital experiences. Partner closely with developers to bring designs to life—from concept through handoff to QA—ensuring pixel‑perfect execution and high performance. Apply strong UX thinking to simplify complex concepts (e.g., identity, crypto, AI) into approachable, human‑centred interfaces. Contribute to design systems and patterns that ensure consistency and scalability across web and, occasionally, product surfaces. Use data and insights (analytics, user behaviour, A/B testing) to iterate on designs and continuously improve performance and usability. Ensure all work meets a high craft standard—balancing visual design, interaction quality and usability across every touchpoint. Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, moving quickly from concept to launch while maintaining attention to detail. Help define and evolve how UI/UX design operates within the marketing department—bringing structure, taste and speed to an emerging design practice. About You 5–7+ years of experience in website UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing both strategic thinking and high‑quality execution. Proven experience designing high‑traffic websites, with a deep understanding of responsive design, interaction patterns and usability best practices. Strong visual design skills with a high craft standard—attention to typography, layout, spacing and interaction details. Experience working across both marketing and product surfaces, with the ability to flex between brand expression and functional UX. Expert in Figma and modern AI‑assisted design workflows, including rapid prototyping, design system generation, content generation and Figma‑to‑code pipelines. Be a passionate self‑starter with an “afterburner on” approach—ready to jump in, solve problems and push projects forward in a fast‑paced environment. Extremely comfortable collaborating with developers and understanding technical constraints to ensure smooth implementation. Data‑first mindset, with experience using analytics and user insights to guide design decisions. Highly organised, resourceful and adaptable—able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Radical end‑to‑end ownership: you take initiative, drive progress and get things done. You possess US work authorisation and are excited about a collaborative, in‑office role in SanFrancisco’s design district. Occasional travel to the field and quarterly offsites. Bonus skills (any of the following are valued but not required): mobile UI/UX design, product design, motion design, front‑end development (HTML/CSS), SEO.
