Resident Director

Position Overview The Resident Director is a supervisory position that serves as a role model and leader for their area. The role requires strong leadership skills, good judgment, energy, commitment, self‑discipline, knowledge of campus resources, and sensitivity to cultural differences. Responsibilities Assist the Area Coordinator and supervise the area staff. Collaborate with and provide guidance to hall governments. Serve as a resource to residents to develop a strong, positive, and respectful community. Qualifications Must be a current full‑time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours for bachelor’s students or 6 credit hours for master’s students. Good standing with Mercer University and the appropriate academic college. Good judicial standing with the University and the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Live on campus in an assigned apartment. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and a semester GPA of at least 2.5 throughout the term of employment.
