There's a seat at our table for you...Position Summary:The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises the Accounts Receivable team within Finance Shared Services, providing oversight of core functions including cash application, reconciliation, and the customer deduction management process. Manages all aspects of the team's performance, development, and administrative needs. Identifies opportunities for improvement and works with various departments to develop and execute action plans.What you will do:Oversees cash application, deduction processing, and account reconciliation workflowsManages customer inquiries and escalations, providing professional resolution while coaching team members on conflict resolution skills.Collaborates with Credit and Sales departments to identify continuous improvements, mitigate financial risks, and optimize Order-to-Cash workflows.Interviews, hires, and develops staff and ensures proper trainingEnsures GFS policy and procedures of team are being followedConducts employee performance review annually and as needed, along with maintaining employee incentive programsEnsures team and individual completion of work is timely and accurate in order to meet/exceed Department Goals/MetricsParticipates in the coordination and facilitation of regular team meetingsParticipates in Business Process Review and AlignmentParticipates in projects and system testingExcellent Customer Service and problem resolution skillsConduct monthly reconciliation, balancing, and variance analysis of accounts.Demonstrate commitment to business ethics and drive integrity, accountability, collaboration, and trust across the company. Adheres to the mission statement and cornerstone values of Gordon Food Service.Other duties and responsibilities as assignedWhen you will work: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.What you'll bring to the table:Two years of previous Accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree or five years of previous Accounting experience without a Bachelor's degree, and one year of previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Knowledge of industry trends specific to Shared Services processing.Moderate math skills for use in Excel and analytics.Problem-solving, comparing, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc.Reading (standard and technical), writing (business, technical, copy, etc.), speaking (basic, conversational) Customer service and relationship building. Self-directed, organized, able to meet deadlines, and able to make prioritization assessments.Moderate to advanced Excel knowledge.
