Tru Family Dental in Westchester, IL is hiring for a part-time Dental Hygienist! 

Schedule - Open to any 2 of the following weekdays:

• Monday 8:30am-6:00pm
• Tuesday 7:30am-5:00pm
• Wednesday 8:30am-6:00pm
• Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm

In addition to 2 days/week, the office requires 1 Saturday per month from 7:30am-2:00pm

Interested in more hours? As a team member, you will have access to HD Flex allowing you to pick up additional shifts on a flexible schedule that works for you ! You will also have the ability to pick up regular hours at a neary office to round out the schedule to full-time. 

This role will have opportunity for a full-time schedule at Tru Family Dental - Westchester within 6 months of starting.

Single Column Patient Schedule

• 60 minute prophys and recalls
• 90 minute SRPs
• 90 minute New Patient appointments

Minimum Qualifications  

• Current dental hygienist license in Illinois and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

 

Preferred Experience

• Open to new graduates and experienced hygienists! 
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
