Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: State or compact license required in-hand prior to start Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Must-Have: Driver's license must be included with submission Experience with charting system Meditech preferred Travel experience required Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical nursing. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience. The work shift will be during the day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The nurse may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Block scheduling accommodations may be explored based on the facility's requirements. Local candidates are accepted within an 80-mile radius of the facility. The nurse will be responsible for various patient care tasks associated with Medical Surgical nursing. Experience with a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, is required. Experience with specific skills such as central line management, monitoring telemetry, and wound care is preferred. Potential call and weekend coverage required based on unit needs. Availability for holidays must be indicated.
