Nurse Manager - Adolescent and Adult Units

Nurse Manager - Adolescent and Adult Units Arbour Hospital, located in Jamaica Plain, seeks a Unit Manager to lead psychiatric care on inpatient and partial programs. This Monday—Friday, 40‑hour day‑shift salaried position requires leadership over nursing staff and clinical operations. Responsibilities Oversee clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and proper documentation. Provide direct supervision to nurses, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health, acting as a problem‑solving resource. Collaborate with CNO and supervisors on nursing department mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget, quality assurance plan, and work standards. Compile and analyze data on patient outcomes, quality assurance results, budget/goal achievement, and performance/productivity to prepare reports for administration. Participate in team planning related to clinic and emergency/disaster response systems. Analyze staffing patterns with CNO/HR Director, maintain required NCHs for unit, and collaborate on recruitment, selection, orientation and training. Conduct performance review meetings, provide feedback and coaching, and oversee staff development and succession planning. Active committee participant for unit base and hospital. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Serve as house‑coverage/rotation when required. Collaborate with other disciplines to promote positive patient outcomes.
