Willingness to work in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and adheres to federal and state regulations. Actively participates in routine checks of clinical, electronic, and all other equipment used in the department within the scope of practice. Collaborates with leadership and all other team members in idea sharing, utilization of resources, and assists in the cross‑training of staff when assigned. Assists leadership on projects aimed at achieving the hospital mission and incorporating the values of the hospital in day‑to‑day activities. Participates in and encourages teamwork to provide patient‑focused care. Patient Care: Serves as scrub tech assistant on all procedures, working closely with physicians and direct care staff to communicate pertinent patient information. Actively participates in administering patient care within the scope of practice. Assists each patient to provide patient‑focused care throughout the continuum. Maintains patient confidentiality. Maintains universal precautions. Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriate patient populations. Participates in performance improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and staff satisfaction, performing surveys as necessary. Ensures a safe and comforting environment. Participates in educational opportunities available with unit‑specific topics. Adheres to procedure protocol. Maintains the dignity of all patients within your care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited scrub technician program preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current BLS required. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous CV surgery experience preferred. Working Knowledge: Able to assist and scrub at a proficient level on all procedures related to the department in both acute and stable patients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
