MRI Technologist-Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center-Part Time

Job Title MRI Technologist – Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center – Part Time Responsibilities Responsible for creating cross‑sectional images of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes using magnetic resonance imaging equipment. Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (e.g., head coil or knee coil) close to area of interest following radiologist protocols. Demonstrate use of microphone to allow patient and technologist to communicate during examination. Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation, and position of patient into computer. Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers on computer. Observe patient through control room window and on closed circuit TV screen to monitor patient safety and comfort. View images of areas being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures. Key in data on keyboard to capture images. Alert staff entering magnet room to danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnet. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Radiology and/or graduate of an accredited radiology program. State RT License for ARRT candidates through NJDEP, or MR Certified through ARMRIT. BLS certification through AHA.
