Position Overview

Dream Chasers Gymnastics is seeking an  experienced, energetic, and motivated gymnastics coach who is passionate about athlete development and committed to providing high-quality instruction in a positive, safe, and encouraging environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong gymnastics background, experience coaching athletes at various skill levels, and the ability to teach proper technique while helping gymnasts reach their full potential. Experience coaching competitive gymnastics is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate gymnastics and tumbling classes.
• Coach gymnasts in proper technique, body alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination, and skill progression.
• Teach and spot gymnastics skills safely on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and other training equipment as appropriate.
• Evaluate athletes’ abilities and develop individualized progressions to support skill development.
• Support the development and training of competitive team gymnasts, including routines, conditioning, and competition preparation, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and positive training environment.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper spotting techniques.
• Communicate professionally with parents, athletes, and fellow staff members.
• Collaborate with the coaching team to support athlete progress and program goals.
• Encourage sportsmanship, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a love of gymnastics.
• Assist with gym events, evaluations, clinics, and competitions as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous gymnastics coaching experience required.
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals, technique, progressions, and spotting.
• Experience working with children and athletes of varying ages and abilities.
• Competitive gymnastics coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to recognize proper technique and safely progress athletes toward more advanced skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, professional, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Commitment to athlete safety and positive youth development.
• Current CPR/AED and first aid certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain them.
• Ability to pass applicable background checks and meet youth-safety requirements.
