About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 full year adult home health experience or 1 full year hospice experience required License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and OASIS within the last 6 months Description: Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician's orders. Utilizes agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Responsible for home visits and periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. The average number of patients per day is 5-8. Each type of visit and activity has different point values contributing to productivity. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. A weekend rotation may be required, varying by location and profession. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up will be addressed. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Clinician must meet weekly productivity expectations. All overtime must be pre-approved. The contractor may float to another nearby location to pick up patients as needed.
