MSP Tier 2 IT Support Technician

Salary: $58,240 - 74,880 per year Requirements:

• We bring 3–5 years of experience in an MSP or comparable IT support position.
• We prefer a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• We value industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
• We have strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
• We are experienced with RMM solutions such as NinjaRMM and ticketing platforms like Autotask PSA, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.
• We understand networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and Wi‑Fi technologies.
• We are familiar with firewalls, antivirus tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
• We have strong analytical thinking and can diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
• We communicate clearly, professionally, and with a customer-first mindset.
• We can manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• We consider cloud exposure with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud an advantage.
• We value scripting and automation experience with tools such as PowerShell or Bash.
• We appreciate familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nanja, or Auvik.
• We prefer experience with documentation platforms such as Hudu, Ninja Documentation, IT Glue, or SharePoint.
• We require the ability to work onsite and remotely as client needs dictate.
• We expect occasional travel to client locations.
• We require a valid drivers license.
• We may need flexibility for evenings and weekends to support client emergencies or project deadlines.

• We provide advanced technical support to clients, including hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• We respond to escalated support tickets and work to restore service quickly to minimize downtime.
• We manage and maintain client networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• We implement and oversee security measures, perform security reviews, and address vulnerabilities.
• We ensure client data is backed up regularly and help develop disaster recovery plans.
• We maintain clear, professional communication with clients and keep them updated on progress.
• We document client systems, configurations, and support actions in detail.
• We assist with planning and delivering IT projects on schedule and within budget.
• We mentor and support Level 1 Technicians through guidance and training.
• We provide on-call emergency support, including after-hours and weekend coverage when required.
• We respond promptly to critical incidents and take action to reduce downtime and data loss.
