Mobile Support Technician Location: Travel to various sites in the greater Chicago area and southern Wisconsin on a weekly basis. Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable technician to support the deployment of a new voice application on approximately 5,000 iPhones across multiple healthcare sites. This role involves setting up users, programming devices, testing, and providing go-live support. The successful candidate will work independently, travel to various sites in the greater Chicago area and southern Wisconsin, and interact professionally with hospital employees. This position is for a project expected to run through the end of the year, with a possibility for extension. Key Responsibilities Deploy a voice application on iPhones, including user setup, device programming, and testing. Provide on-site, hands-on support during the go-live phase to identify and resolve issues. Travel to various company sites to perform installation and support duties. Work independently to manage tasks and schedules at assigned locations for one to two-week periods. Collaborate with on-site engineers and hospital staff to ensure successful application deployment. Document work performed, including system updates and service reports. Diagnose and resolve telecommunications service issues. Adhere to company safety procedures and industry best practices. Required Qualifications Experience: Knowledge of smartphones and mobile applications, particularly with iPhones and iOS. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be personable when interacting with hospital employees. A background in telecommunications is required. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Must have reliable transportation for travel to multiple sites. Preferred Qualifications Experience with telephony systems, such as Alcatel PBX and voicemail systems. Working knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and network infrastructure. Previous experience in a customer-facing service role, preferably within a healthcare environment. Industry certifications or technical training in telecommunications or networking. Work Environment This role requires a standard 40-hour workweek, primarily during the first shift. Work is performed on-site at various company locations, with some remote work as needed. Occasional evening, after-hours, and weekend work may be necessary to support project needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel. Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Capability to work in various indoor environments.
