Job Title: Senior Practice Manager Department: Operations Reports To: State Director FLSA Status: ExemptManager, Full-Time Salaried (min 40hrs per week) Position Summary The Senior Practice Manager serves as the operational leader for either one large, multi-specialty practice or multiple standard-sized practices. In this elevated leadership role, you will oversee more complex operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, strong financial performance, and the development of high-performing, engaged teams across your locations. This role requires working closely with providers, practice teams, and regional leadership to drive operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop teams across assigned practices to foster collaborative, high-performing environments. Mentor Practice Managersand Associate Practice Managersto strengthen leadership capabilities and operational independence. Fosterstrong teamcommunication, ensuring staffremainup to date on company communications while championing change and new initiatives. Manage onboarding, training, development, and offboarding for all team members. Conduct 30/60/90-day and annual reviews, hygiene check-ins, coaching conversations, and address performance concerns through corrective action and conflict resolution. Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates, making hiring decisions, anddeterminingwhen new or replacement positions are needed. Ensureappropriate staffingcoverage and collaborate on solutions when expected or unexpected gaps occur. Own and manage the P&L for assigned practices; achieve revenue, expense, and profitability targets. Review performance data and implement actionable strategies to improve production, collections, and patient flow. Complete payroll and HRIS functions directly, including timecard approvals, scheduling, and time off requests; serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and operational standards. Operational Excellence & Performance Monitoring Oversee daily operations at multiple locations, ensuring appointment flow, patient access, and efficient workflows. Partner with billing and insurance teams to ensureaccurateclaims processing and collections. Monitor KPIs and financial reports; lead corrective action plans when necessary. Manage vendor relationships and integrate outsourced services to support seamless operations. Clinical Collaboration Partner closely with providers to support clinical excellence while respecting clinical autonomy. Support doctor communication byassistingwith clinical operations and troubleshooting operational questions and concerns. Support provider onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives tomaintainstable, high-quality clinical teams. Patient Experience & Quality of Care Champion a patient-first culture across all assigned practices. Ensure clear communication with patientsregardingtreatment plans, payment options, and follow-up care. Foster trust with patients and team members through empathy, active listening, and solution-focused problem-solving. Review and act on patient feedback to drive service improvements and strengthen loyalty. Growth & Strategic Development Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and execute growth strategies for assigned practices. Support integration of new practices or services into the portfolio. Identifyopportunities to expand patient access, enhance services, and increase revenue. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as the liaison between practices andourShared Services teams (HR, Finance, Marketing, Revenue Cycle, etc.). Collaborate with Practice Manager peers to innovate, problem-solve, and share best practices. Drivechange that prioritizes both patient and employee experience before escalating issues to regional leadership. Participate in meetings, CE courses, and other Plum events as assigned; promote CE opportunities to team members. Performadditionalresponsibilities as needed to support practice operations and team development. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-site operations. Proven ability to manage multiple locations or large, high-volume practices. Prior experience managing a P&L and driving financial performance. Strong leadership, coaching, andpeopledevelopment skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Experience in patient service or customer-facing healthcare environments preferred. Willingness to travel between locationsand forevents. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Manual dexterity for computer and phone use. Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. (supplies, files, etc.).
