Together, we are making a difference in the lives of patients around the world.**WORK SHIFT**DAY (United States of America)**SUMMARY OF DUTIES**Performs forklift responsibilities for the warehouse.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED• Operates manually controlled or powered forklift to transport parts and materials throughout the warehouse. • Receives and ships goods and materials. • Verifies paperwork against driver logs and parts received. • Loads and unloads trucks. • Checks forklift for problems such as fluid levels, tires, and forks. • Stacks and unstacks palletized material in storage racks. • Performs various warehouse and shipping tasks, as required.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS• Lifting -- Not to exceed 50 lbs. -- local practice may apply. • Writing • Sitting • Standing • Bending • Vision • Color perception • Depth perception • Reading • Field of vision/peripheral • Fine motor skills • NoiseSUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Educational experience equivalent to a High School Diploma and one year forklift experience. • Must be able to operate a forklift safely. • Must be forklift certified. • Ability to be neat and organized and pay extreme attention to detail. • Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others. • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.COMPETENCIES• Forklift operation • Product retrieval/movementCOMMENTSInfectious Control Risk Category III:The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.
