Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to assigned patients during their shift. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with age-specific criteria while utilizing nursing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate the needs of patients throughout their care.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members.
Supervise and direct the work of non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
Educate patients and their families regarding care procedures and discharge planning.
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and be adaptable to changes in workload and patient care needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and/or Rehabilitation nursing.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate patience and tact when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
Proficient in applying healthcare principles and practices and exercising independent judgment.
Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Ability to float to different units as needed, within scope of practice.

Certifications and Licensure

Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Current Ohio or Compact RN License.

Work Schedule

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Additionally, there is a requirement to work every third weekend.
