CTE Certification Requirement – candidates must meet one of the following: Hold a valid Michigan CTE teaching certificate in Business, Finance, or Marketing. Be eligible to obtain an Annual Career Authorization, requiring documentation of at least 4,000 hours of relevant industry experience in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, and Computer Science. Ability or willingness to teach AP Computer Science (training may be required). IB experience and / or training preferred. Advanced Placement (AP) experience and/or training preferred. Successful experience working with/instructing secondary students preferred. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and a strong desire to promote student success. Responsibilities Provide high-quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's educational vision and mission. Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students. Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental, and social-emotional needs of students. Assess and modify instructional practice to increase student achievement. Utilize educational technology to support students' instruction and learning. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents, and the community. This is a split building position requiring travel between the IB program and another secondary school.
