Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete comprehensive medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain active professional licensure in good standing
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (Alaska license or eligibility required)
• Experience in general orthopedics and outpatient specialty areas
• Ability to complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethics

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with outpatient orthopedic specialty populations
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
• Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
