Diesel Mechanic

A Diesel Mechanic for Blue Collar Diesel assists the owners with diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. You’ll perform engine, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and drivetrain work, complete required paperwork, and help keep vehicles DOT- and emission-compliant. A CDL-Class A License and Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. Responsibilities Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, ABS, and related systems using diagnostic tools and software. Inspect, repair, and replace brake systems, tires, suspension, and chassis components as well as perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service (oil changes, filters, fluid checks, etc.). Rebuild components and perform welding, cutting, grinding, and painting as needed. Complete and submit accurate work orders, repair records, and documentation for state/emission inspections and DOT compliance. Work safely in shop and roadside environments; follow company and industry safety protocols. Collaborate with other technicians, parts suppliers, and customers to ensure timely, quality repairs. Qualifications Certified Diesel Technician or equivalent training Experience as a diesel technician preferred Must own basic mechanic's tools and have reliable transportation Comfortable using diagnostic equipment and shop software; computer literate Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, crouching) Flexibility to work in both a shop and roadside environment; exposure to dust, oils, fuels, welding fumes and varying temperatures/noise levels Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team Commitment to safety and compliance with DOT standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
