This facility has 294 beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission. The department provides services in cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. The position is located approximately 45 miles east of a major city and 2 hours from the coast. It is in proximity to major universities. The facility is a short drive from a local lake and has nearby historical attractions. Preferred experience includes familiarity with electronic health records systems. The unit has a total of 26 beds with flexible patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on acuity. Equipment includes standard emergency department tools and monitors. Candidates must be team players with positive attitudes. Preferred skills include experience with respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure, dialysis, and hypertension. Education required is an Associate Degree in Nursing. Dress code permits any scrub color, while certain unacceptable attire should be avoided.
