Job Description:

- Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Must hold an active AK RN license at the time of submittal.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 2 years as a staff RN in immunotherapy or chemotherapy.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience required.
- High school diploma or GED is essential.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for the financial performance of assigned departments.
- Set annual budgets and implement cost-effective resource utilization.
- Monitor nursing service orientation and guide new staff skill development.
- Allocate patient care assignments based on complex needs and staff qualifications.
- Revise and enforce policies, procedures, and standards in nursing services.
- Collaborate in patient care conferences with healthcare providers.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high patient care standards.
- Support career development and training of nursing staff.
- Maintain effective communication with administrative concerns and staff issues.
- Oversee staffing schedules, approve leave, and ensure compliance with policies.


- Compliance and Standards:
- Implement regulatory agency standards to ensure compliance.
- Engage with Nurse Executive Committee meetings to influence nursing strategies.
- Promote adherence to dress codes and address employee concerns.

- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of nursing care principles and practices.
- Proficient in using computer systems including Microsoft Office and EHRs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in emergency situations and maintain professionalism under pressure.
