About the Role:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing and production equipment within industrial facilities across the United States. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot complex machinery issues. A key outcome of this role is to uphold safety standards and compliance while enhancing equipment reliability and lifespan. Ultimately, the Industrial Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall operational excellence and cost-effectiveness of the facility by maintaining high equipment availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production facility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Repair or replace defective components such as motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance operations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to restore equipment functionality.

Skills:

The required skills enable the technician to effectively troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency. Mechanical aptitude is essential for understanding and maintaining complex machinery, while electrical knowledge supports the diagnosis and repair of control systems and wiring. Familiarity with hydraulic systems allows the technician to address fluid power issues critical to many industrial processes. Preferred skills such as PLC programming and CMMS proficiency enhance the ability to work with modern automated systems and maintain detailed maintenance records. Additionally, welding and fabrication skills provide versatility in performing custom repairs and modifications, contributing to overall equipment reliability.
