Dalton Ag is a brand forged in America's heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996. A welder's primary responsibility is MIG welding of steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• MIG welding including the following:
• Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols)
• Inspect welds for accuracy & quality
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel
• Change welding wire as needed
• Change gas tanks as needed
• Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the proper location
• Ability to read measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner with all safety devices in place
• Perform first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required
• Perform simple maintenance and repair as required
• Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing plant
• Accurately enter data into the ERP system, Epicor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• One year experience with MIG welding, preferred
• Candidates must pass basic MIG welding test
• Position requires basic math and computer skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measure

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or control
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds (25), and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds

• Manufacturing environment
• Daily exposure to hot, cold, dusty, noisy environment
• Occasional to frequent outdoor work
• Potential to work at different area workstations to meet production needs
