Receptionist

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM & some weekend availability

Wage: $20 - $25 hourly, DOE

Location: Avamere Rehabilitation of Shoreline - 1250 NE 145th St, Shoreline, WA 98155

The Receptionist in a long-term care facility, assisted living or independent living facility serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, providing a welcoming and organized environment. This role involves greeting people, answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing administrative tasks to support facility operations and resident well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Warmly welcoming visitors, residents, and staff, providing information and directing them as needed.
• Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring prompt communication.
• Answering questions about the facility, resident status, services, and general information.
• Managing mail, packages, and deliveries; scheduling appointments; assisting with filing, data entry, and other light clerical duties.
• Keeping accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and appointments, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintaining a clean and organized reception area and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
• Facilitating communication between residents, families, and staff, and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assisting with transportation scheduling, guest meal coordination, and other tasks as needed.
• Ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and readily available.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a clerical position preferably in healthcare setting.
• Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and staff.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
• The ability to provide positive and helpful experience for residents and visitors.
• The ability to address issues and find solutions efficiently
