A Day in the Life

You start your 12-hour shift with a quick safety huddle and priority review. A furnace alarm pops—within minutes you’re tracing a 480V circuit, checking VFD parameters, and confirming PLC I/O signals. Later, you pivot to a press with a hydraulic drift, diagnose a sticky valve, and rebuild it. You wrap the afternoon by performing predictive checks on conveyors and robotics, fabricating a small guard, and logging PMs. Throughout, you collaborate with operators, share insights with teammates, and drive improvements that keep production humming.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, drives, PLCs, and controls
• Diagnose and service hydraulic and pneumatic components and circuits
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize uptime
• Maintain presses, furnaces, conveyors, robotics, and other automated equipment
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to resolve issues
• Perform welding and light fabrication when needed
• Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects
