C&M Precision Tech is seeking a 2nd Shift Preventive Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, safety, and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facility. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, completing building and facility repairs, and assisting with equipment installation and relocation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, mechanically inclined problem solver who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with production, maintenance, and other departments.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoot and diagnose machine and equipment issues and assist with corrective repairs.Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.Identify potential equipment problems before they result in production interruptions.Report on equipment conditions and recommend repairs to the appropriate maintenance personnel.Assist with lubrication, filter changes, cleaning, adjustments, and other routine maintenance activities.Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.Follow established maintenance schedules, procedures, and documentation requirements.QualificationsExperience maintaining CNC machines or other manufacturing equipment, preferredExperience with preventive maintenance programs, preferredBasic electrical troubleshooting experience.Basic plumbing or facility maintenance experience.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility issues.Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and vendors.Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Experience working in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.CompetenciesProblem Solving/Analysis – Identifies problems, determines potential causes, and develops practical solutions.Communication Proficiency – Communicates maintenance issues, work status, and repair requirements clearly and effectively.Time Management – Prioritizes work based on equipment needs, production requirements, safety, and urgency.Teamwork Orientation – Works effectively with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and other departments.Organizational Skills – Maintains an organized work area, maintenance inventory, tools, parts, and documentation.Physical RequirementsStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in various positions.Using hand and power tools.Lifting and moving tools, parts, equipment, and materials.Working around CNC machinery and other industrial equipment.Working at heights when required for facility maintenance, using appropriate fall protection and safety equipment.Working in areas that may involve noise, oils, coolants, metalworking fluids, and other normal manufacturing conditions.Why Join C&M Precision Tech?C&M Precision Tech is a precision manufacturing company focused on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
