Flex Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Step Down Contract Assignment

Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.

Shift: Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0645–1915)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week

Seeking an experienced Flex Pool RN for a contract assignment in Hawaii. This role will float between multiple medical and surgical units and requires strong adaptability in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg / Step Down experience
Active Hawaii RN License required by assignment start
BLS required
ACLS required
Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC, ENPC, Procedural Sedation
Unit & Clinical Details:
Float coverage across Medical, Surgical Acute, and Cardiovascular units
Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, and acute care patient management preferred
EMR: Meditech
Equipment used: Pyxis, wound vacs, chest tubes
Ratios:
Medical Unit: 1:6 days/evenings, 1:8 nights
Surgical Acute Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
(Ratios may vary based on census and staffing needs)
Additional Details:
Day shifts only
No guaranteed hours
Orientation provided for each unit
Must be willing to float between assigned units as needed
Clean professional scrubs required
Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity
Travelers must arrive Thursday before start date for Friday employee health appointment
