About the Role
The Company is seeking a Divisional Merchandise Manager for Shoes to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and communicating merchandise and omni strategies to meet or exceed sales, margin, and turn targets. This role involves guiding a team of Buyers and Planners in the development of merchandise strategies and assortment plans, ensuring alignment with financial goals, product strategies, and customer focus. The DMM will also work in partnership with the VPs of Planning to maximize the overall financial performance of the footwear categories and foster a collaborative team culture. Applicants for the Divisional Merchandise Manager position should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and a minimum of 4-6 years of retail buying experience, with a total of 7-9 years in the retail industry. The role requires a candidate who is adept at managing a large scope of responsibility, thinks strategically, is highly organized, and can multitask effectively. The DMM will be expected to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships, prioritize and manage workloads to meet company objectives, and take calculated risks to achieve results. Proficiency in business-related computer software is essential, and the candidate should be capable of fostering a strong team environment and adapting to shifting business circumstances.
