Senior Cost Accountant Orange County , CA Direct Hire Accounting $100K to $140K 09/11/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $140,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Oversee cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations. Lead month end close activities by preparing journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting. Develop and maintain cost models, profitability analyses, and operational reporting to support strategic business decisions. Analyze production costs, variances, inventory activity, and operational performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to support process improvements, cost optimization, and cross functional initiatives. Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or a related accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting methodologies, and financial reporting practices. Previous experience with manufacturing environments, inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis. Proficiency with ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Qualifications: Prior experience within semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, or other complex production environments. Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing variances, manufacturing performance metrics, and cost analysis. Previous experience with advanced costing methodologies, including activity based costing, target costing, and profitability modeling. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
