Mid- Level Mechanical Design Engineer
McLellan Industries Inc
- Create mechanical designs of mining equipment’s from concept through production release
- Develop and manage SolidWorks models, assemblies, and detailed drawings to internal standards
- Create and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics with minimal oversight
- Partner with sales and production teams to troubleshoot field and manufacturing issues
- Review and provide technical guidance and design feedback
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; coursework or certifications in Machine Design, Hydraulic Systems, or Electrical Systems preferred
- 3 to 6 years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong drafting and GD&T skills
- Solid working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Demonstrated ability to read, create, and redline hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings
- Experience designing custom mining machines which are electrically and hydraulically operated is a strong advantage
