MRI Technologist
In the shoreline towns near Norwalk, Connecticut, healthcare is more than routine — it's a reflection of trust, technology, and thoughtful care. As an MRI Technologist, your work brings clarity where there's uncertainty, progress where there's fear, and compassion where there's vulnerability. Here, your role is as vital as it is visible.
This full-time opportunity places you at the heart of a radiology team that blends leading-edge imaging protocols with a deeply patient-centered approach. Whether you're guiding someone through their first MRI scan or supporting a fast-paced diagnostic workflow, you'll be part of a system that honors both precision and presence.
If you're seeking a role that invites both technical mastery and human connection — and a place to grow in both career and lifestyle — this might be exactly what you've been waiting for.
What You'll Do
- Independently perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI scans in accordance with physician protocols
- Operate and maintain high-field MRI systems, ensuring safety and compliance within a magnetically sensitive environment
- Educate and prepare patients for imaging, verifying safety screening and easing anxiety through clear communication
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical providers to ensure accurate image capture and timely results
- Monitor patient vitals and administer contrast agents when necessary, according to department protocol
- Assist with training new staff and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts
- Ensure documentation, coding, and digital recordkeeping meets regulatory and facility standards
Qualifications You'll Bring
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences preferred
- Completion of an ARRT-approved MRI program
Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT (MRI) certification required, or eligible within 6 months
- Connecticut Radiographer License
- BLS certification recommended
Experience & Skills
- At least 1 year of MRI scanning experience preferred
- Comfort working in a high-acuity clinical setting with both scheduled and STAT imaging
- Strong understanding of MRI physics, patient safety, and contrast administration protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills
- Experience with PACS and electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech)
Why You'll Love This Role
- Competitive salary with shift differentials and growth-based increases
- Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance options
- Generous PTO, paid holidays, and flexible shift scheduling
- Tuition reimbursement and certification assistance
- 401(k) with employer contribution
- Team-based work culture grounded in excellence, empathy, and integrity
- Access to state-of-the-art equipment and continuing education programs
