Pharmacy Technician in Columbus, OH

This full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician position offers an opportunity to support pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment. Located in Columbus, OH, this contract-to-hire role involves working closely with pharmacists to serve patients efficiently while maintaining a well-organized pharmacy department.


Schedule and Hours:

• 1st shift
• Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist in serving patients and managing daily pharmacy activities
• Greet customers warmly and address their inquiries professionally
• Receive and verify prescriptions for accuracy and validity
• Process electronic prescriptions, ensuring all data is complete and precise
• Address and resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims promptly
• Select appropriate medications and measure dosages accurately for prescription filling
• Manage medication inventory through sorting, stocking, and labeling

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio
• Experience in retail pharmacy or similar settings preferred
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software highly preferred
