Job Summary

St. George Auto Gallery is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Sales Representative to join our team.

In this position, you will assist customers throughout the vehicle-purchasing process, from the initial greeting through the final sale. You will build relationships with customers, identify their needs, answer questions about our inventory, demonstrate vehicle features, conduct test drives, and follow up with potential and previous customers.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, comfortable communicating with people, and motivated by performance-based compensation. Previous automotive sales experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. We are willing to train someone who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to connect with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Build rapport with customers and identify their vehicle needs and budget
• Answer questions about vehicles, features, pricing, warranties, financing, and the purchasing process
• Present vehicles and explain their features and benefits
• Conduct test drives in a safe and professional manner
• Respond promptly to phone, internet, and walk-in leads
• Use dealership CRM software to document customer interactions and manage follow-up
• Maintain consistent communication with prospective and previous customers
• Work with sales management and the finance department to complete transactions
• Negotiate and close sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Stay informed about dealership inventory, pricing, promotions, and financing options
• Assist with keeping vehicles and the sales lot presentable
• Meet individual and dealership sales goals
• Follow all dealership policies and applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Previous automotive, retail, hospitality, or commission-based sales experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Strong organization, time-management, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable using computers, email, text messaging, and CRM software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to remain professional during negotiations and challenging customer interactions
• Self-motivated, dependable, and driven to meet performance goals
• Must be available to work scheduled weekdays and Saturdays
