Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a school psychologist in the Winchester, VA area. This contract opportunity runs from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, providing essential psychological services to students across a full school year. With a 37.5-hour work week and onsite presence required, you’ll be a vital part of a dedicated educational team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Psychologist License (VA Psych License) required
  • Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred
  • Strong understanding of assessment tools, special education processes, and student support strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ethical standards and professional growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
  • Interpret data to support student learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, helping guide educational planning and intervention
  • Support district initiatives related to mental health and emotional well-being
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services in compliance with local and state regulations
