Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to join a busy healthcare team in Norwood, MA. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong administrative or secretarial experience. Previous healthcare experience and EPIC knowledge are highly preferred. Location: Norwood, MA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs Experience: 1+ year required Key Responsibilities Provide inbox coverage and administrative support for approximately 25 healthcare providers. Monitor, organize, and route provider inbox messages to ensure timely follow-up. Complete and process patient forms, letters, and other documentation. Coordinate and process imaging prior authorizations. Contact patients regarding appointment changes and assist with rescheduling. Receive, review, sort, and distribute incoming faxes. Maintain accurate patient and administrative information within the electronic medical record. Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and internal departments. Assist with general secretarial and administrative duties in a fast-paced medical office. Help ensure provider requests and patient needs are addressed accurately and efficiently. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of administrative, secretarial, or related professional experience . Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a large provider group. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous healthcare or medical office experience. Experience using EPIC . Strong administrative and secretarial background. Experience supporting multiple healthcare providers. Familiarity with prior authorizations, patient scheduling, medical forms, and electronic medical records.
