Now offering paid credentials – eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening! SUMMARY The Reading Paraprofessional position supports students in the reading program. Reading Paraprofessionals work on student days following the T/ESD school calendar year. Typical scheduled hours: Elementary 8:30‑4:00 p, Middle School 8:15‑3:15 p, High School 7:30‑3:00 p. Position schedule may vary depending on assignment. 11 paid holidays & 7 days of paid time off (pro‑rated based on start date). Hourly pay rate: $23.94 per hour. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct instruction to students in the reading support program under the supervision of a Reading Specialist. Deliver small‑group reading instruction as part of the regular education intervention program. Plan instruction, administer assessments, and participate in the collection, organization, and interpretation of learning data in consultation with the Reading Specialist. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Candidates must be a PA‑certified teacher. CREDENTIALING & CLEARANCES Paid clearances & TB screening required. PA Child Abuse (Act 151) clearance. PA Criminal (Act 34) clearance. PA Department of Education FBI use code 1KG6XN. TB screening current within 3 months. Education documentation – diploma or official transcripts.
